The Arts Warehouse, a cornerstone of creativity funded by the Delray Beach CRA, unveils its latest exhibition, “Conceptually Green.” Curated by the imaginative minds of RAD Curatorial, this exhibition emerged from the success of their previous show, “Pink,” and the fascinating observation of the color green across various artists’ works.
Grace Gdaniec, Program Director at Arts Warehouse, shares, “The exhibition was proposed by curatorial duo, RAD Curatorial. It’s a great partnership with Arts Warehouse, and we’re excited to welcome this exciting group of artists and interesting conceptual work to Arts Warehouse.”
This marks the second collaboration between RAD Curatorial and Arts Warehouse. Gdaniec notes, “Their curatorial taste is thoughtful and ensures a lively mix of visual themes, and of course colors.” This partnership has once again proven to be a fruitful one, bringing a fresh perspective to the Delray Beach art scene.
“Conceptually Green” explores the myriad representations of the color green, from its most obvious shades to its most subtle hints. One artist, Amy Gelb, incorporates green in such delicate ways that it might escape immediate notice, requiring viewers to engage more deeply with the art. “I think the mixture of the use of green within each piece is what keeps the viewer interested as they move around the show,” Gdaniec observes, highlighting the diversity and depth of the exhibition.
Adding to the experience, the exhibition will feature an artist talk with a panel of exhibiting artists, offering insights into their creative processes and the significance of green in their work. Additionally, a video curator talk with Dana Donaty and Renee Phillips will delve deeper into the curatorial vision and the selection process behind “Conceptually Green.”
On view until April 20, 2024, in the Arts Warehouse Front Gallery, the exhibition promises a journey through the various nuances and significances of the color green.
“Conceptually Green” is more than just an art exhibition; it’s a vibrant exploration of color’s power to evoke emotion, tell stories, and challenge perceptions. It’s an invitation to the community and beyond to rediscover green—not just as a color but as a symbol with a rich tapestry of meanings. As the Arts Warehouse continues to showcase innovative and thought-provoking exhibitions, “Conceptually Green” stands as a testament to the enduring allure and complexity of color in the world of art.
