Located in a previously vacant commercial space on North Federal Highway, Conch Cravings brings a fresh and savory menu to the community, featuring seafood favorites like conch, lobster, shrimp salads, oysters, smoked salmon spread, and more. As a first-time business owner, Gloria’s vision was clear: to create a welcoming, community-oriented spot that offers high-quality seafood with a personal touch.
The Delray Beach CRA’s support through its funding assistance programs was instrumental in activating this once-empty space, aligning with the CRA’s mission of revitalizing and transforming areas within the CRA District. The funds helped cover critical construction and build-out costs, allowing Conch Cravings to open its doors and contribute to the local economy.
“The CRA was very instrumental in assisting me with the construction and build out of my business,” said Gloria Denson-Bass. “The CRA gave me so much confidence in achieving my goal by simply making the grant process easy and simple. My business is now open for over 2 years, and I have been able to keep the doors open simply because of the transparency and presentation to the Delray Beach Community during the entire project.”
Since opening, Conch Cravings has been more than just a place to grab a delicious seafood dish; it’s a testament to the impact that strategic community investment can have on local businesses. Gloria is committed to not only maintaining her business but also giving back to the Delray Beach community that helped her succeed.
