Experience the 2025 Resident Artist Exhibition at Arts Warehouse
The annual Resident Artist Exhibition at Arts Warehouse offers a unique look into the creative momentum happening inside the studios year-round. On view through October 25th, this year’s showcase features 14 artists, including six new or recent additions to the residency program. As a result, the gallery is filled with a vibrant mix of media and perspectives—ranging from ceramics and photography to painting and sculpture.
According to the CRA Program Director Grace Gdaniec, one of the key differences this year is how the pieces are presented: “Showing art intermixed thus seeing how different artists’ works interact.” Instead of separating each artist’s work, the gallery layout invites visitors to engage with the works as part of a shared visual conversation—one that reflects the diversity and evolution of the resident community.
A Window Into the Studios
Visitors can expect to encounter a variety of representational and figurative works this year, a shift that reflects the influence of the newer residents. And while the gallery itself is impressive, what makes this exhibition especially meaningful is the deeper connection it creates between the public and the artists themselves.
“Overall I think seeing the resident artists together is special and something we look forward to each year,” Gdaniec shared. “We see the artists working on their art in their studios throughout the year, and it’s nice to see the pieces come to fruition and viewed within the gallery. Some of the artist’s work I’ve gotten to know over a few years now, so it’s interesting to observe how it has evolved and developed. I think that the exhibition as a benchmark for the artists is meaningful.”
Supporting Artists as Small Businesses
Arts Warehouse is a Delray Beach CRA program, and the residency offers more than just space—it’s an incubator for artistic careers. “The CRA is able to offer subsidized rent rates to support artists as small businesses and provide an environment for them to focus on their craft and grow as artists,” said Gdaniec. “They also have access to the public and gain experience interacting with the public and sharing their work within their studios, and exhibition opportunities.”
These opportunities are a critical part of the local creative ecosystem, not only for the artists, but for the surrounding community as well.
“Supporting local artists and giving them opportunity to showcase their work in the studios and in the gallery benefits both the viewer and the artist,” she explained. “Having access to art and community artists I think is valuable.”
