The Delray Beach GreenMarket returns to the Old School Square Campus on Saturday, October 24, opening its 31st winter season. Every Saturday from 9am to 2pm through May 22, 2027, more than 70 local growers, makers, and food vendors will set up in downtown Delray Beach, and SNAP benefits are accepted at the market.
Shop Local Produce, Seafood, and More at the Delray Beach GreenMarket
The Delray Beach CRA started the Delray GreenMarket in 1996, and the farmers market has been a Saturday fixture in downtown Delray Beach ever since. It runs in two seasons each year, winter and summer, and opening day kicks off the winter season, which carries through late May.
Much of the lineup comes from local farmers and food artisans. Shoppers will find locally grown produce, grass-fed beef, and fresh-caught seafood, along with just-picked citrus, tropical fruit and juice, farm fresh eggs, artisan cheese and jams, and baked goods. There are gluten-free, vegan, and organic options, as well as fresh cut flowers and plants, and live music runs through the morning.
Beyond farmers and growers, the market sets aside space for nonprofit vendors and offers rotating vendor opportunities for small businesses, giving local organizations and entrepreneurs a regular place to meet the community.
The market also has a food area where vendors cook on site, with seating for anyone who wants to stay and eat. It turns a quick produce run into a Saturday morning outing.
Using SNAP Benefits at the Delray Beach GreenMarket
The Delray Beach GreenMarket accepts SNAP benefits, and using them takes three steps. Shoppers start at the EBT booth at the GreenMarket before they shop. There, they swipe their SNAP card to receive tokens for spending. They can then use those tokens to buy fresh local produce and other SNAP eligible items at the market.
Accepting SNAP keeps fresh, locally grown food within reach for more households in Delray Beach. Questions about using SNAP benefits at the GreenMarket can go to Dominique Pelissier at PelissierD@mydelraybeach.com.
