Nick Delgiudice joined the Delray Beach CRA in October 2025 as Finance Coordinator, a role that touches nearly every funding program the agency runs. His work is part of how CRA investment reaches the businesses and property owners who make up the district.
The scope of what falls under Finance Coordinator is broader than the title suggests. “My day-to-day work involves a mix of financial tracking, compliance, reimbursements, and supporting the CRA’s funding programs,” he said. “A lot of my work happens behind the scenes, but it directly supports the CRA’s ability to invest in businesses, properties, and projects that help strengthen the district.”
Delgiudice’s path to the CRA came down to wanting his work to matter close to home. “I was drawn to the CRA because I liked the idea of having a role where my work could directly support the local community,” he said. “I joined the CRA in October 2025, and I’ve really enjoyed learning more about redevelopment and seeing how the different pieces come together.”
One program in particular stands out to him. “I’ve especially enjoyed working with the CRA’s funding assistance programs,” he said. “It’s rewarding to help businesses and property owners navigate the reimbursement process and see those funds ultimately turn into improvements throughout the district.”
That process involves more scrutiny than most residents realize. “There are a lot of steps behind the scenes to review documentation, verify costs, and make sure everything meets the program requirements,” Delgiudice said. “It’s a detailed process, but it’s important because it helps ensure the CRA’s resources are being used effectively to support the community.”
Delgiudice said what motivates him goes beyond the spreadsheets. “I’m excited to see the continued growth of the local business community and the improvements happening throughout the district,” he said. “It’s rewarding when you can see a project go from an application or proposal to something that people can experience in the community.”
For residents trying to understand how CRA funding actually works, Delgiudice keeps the explanation simple. “I’d want them to know that CRA funding is really about investing back into the district,” he said. “There are specific programs, requirements, and approval processes, but at the end of the day, the goal is to support improvements and projects that create a positive, lasting impact in the community.”
Outside the office, Delgiudice spends much of his free time out in the same district he helps fund. “I enjoy spending time around Delray Beach, exploring the local restaurants, and taking in everything the city has to offer,” he said. “One of the things I like most about Delray is that there’s always something new to discover, whether it’s a new business, restaurant, or community event.”
Delgiudice’s work reflects a part of the Delray Beach CRA’s mission that rarely gets seen directly, the financial oversight that makes sure investment in the district’s businesses and neighborhoods reaches the community as intended.
