Allure Beauty, a new beauty studio and boutique, opened its doors for a grand opening on August 12 at 5 p.m. in the Edmonds Baine Building at 98 NW 5th Avenue. The business is owned by Renee Grant, a Delray Beach native bringing her salon and boutique back to the community that raised her.
Grant’s path to opening Allure Beauty took several turns before it led to NW 5th Avenue, from selling inspirational T-shirts at vendor events around Palm Beach County, to a mobile beauty boutique built out of a 6-by-12-foot trailer, to three years running a beauty supply store in Lake Worth Beach. “I’ve gone from selling beauty products and accessories online, to owning a mobile boutique, to operating a beauty supply store, and now to opening a Beauty Salon and Boutique,” Grant said. “It has been a journey, and I’m so grateful for every step along the way.”
Delray Beach is not a new city for Grant. It is where she was born and raised, and NW 5th Avenue put her back near family, friends, and her church community. “For me, Allure Beauty is more than a business; it is a homecoming and an opportunity to serve the community I love,” she said.
Inside, Allure Beauty offers a range of salon services alongside a curated selection of boutique fashion, beauty products, and accessories, along with booth rentals for hairstylists, estheticians, makeup artists, nail technicians, braiders, barbers, and other beauty professionals. Grant wants first-time visitors to feel the space before anything else. “Customers and clients should expect elegance, comfort, and an experience that makes them feel confident and relaxed,” she said. “It’s a space designed to help you unwind, feel good, and leave feeling even better than when you arrived.”
The Edmonds Baine Building is owned by the Delray Beach CRA, which keeps commercial rent affordable for small business tenants along the corridor. Grant said that affordability “has allowed me to invest more of my resources into growing Allure Beauty, creating a beautiful space for my clients, and providing the quality services and products I envisioned,” and that CRA staff made the process easier, too: “the Delray Beach CRA staff has been incredibly welcoming, supportive, and helpful throughout the process. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better space or a better organization to work with.”
The building’s history shaped the buildout as well. “I wanted it to feel beautiful and comfortable without losing the charm of the building,” she said. “The goal was to create a space where the history of Delray Beach meets the modern beauty experience.”
Looking ahead, Grant said she wants to expand into salon suites and keep building an experience that makes people feel confident and valued. “I want the Delray Beach Community to know that this is more than just a business venture; it’s an opportunity to give back, create something beautiful, support other local businesses, and inspire others to pursue their dreams,” she said.

Allure Beauty’s opening is one more example of what affordable commercial space along NW 5th Avenue makes possible, giving a Delray Beach native the room to bring a business home to the neighborhood that shaped her.
