An Affordable Co-working Hub in the Heart of Delray Beach
For remote workers, entrepreneurs, and community groups looking for a productive place to work, the Work Space on 5th continues to offer a flexible and welcoming co-working environment in the heart of Delray Beach. A project of the Delray Beach CRA, the space at 98 NW 5th Avenue is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with hourly, daily, and weekly options to fit a range of needs.
The atmosphere is a key part of the appeal. “I would describe the Work Space on 5th environment as a peaceful, calm, and productive environment,” said Jamilah Johnson, Program Assistant at the CRA. That setting draws a wide variety of people. According to Johnson, the space sees a mix of Delray Beach residents, remote workers, and businesses using the rooms for training, along with visitors on vacation who just need to pop in for a few hours.
Work Space on 5th is designed to support different kinds of work. Members can choose from private offices in the Focus Suite, meeting spaces like the Think Tank and the Forum, a quiet Focus Lounge, or flexible high-top tables and fixed Focus Desks in the open work areas. Each option includes free high-speed Wi-Fi, access to a kitchen, a complimentary coffee station, printing, and free parking nearby.
Some of those amenities are the ones members appreciate most. Johnson noted that clients value the fast Wi-Fi and the free, close-by parking, and that first-time visitors are often pleasantly surprised by the private phone booths, which are also free to use.
One feature that sets the space apart is its discount for local residents. “The discount was built into the program to incentivize residents to come and use the space, as well as wanting residents to utilize the space,” Johnson said. Delray Beach residents can receive 25% off using the code DELRAYRES for private rooms or DELRAYRESDESKS for desks and high-top tables, with proof of residency shown at the front desk. The response has been positive, with resident clients consistently making use of the savings.
Anyone curious about the space doesn’t have to commit right away. Johnson noted that Work Space on 5th offers tours for prospective clients who want to take a look around before booking, an option people appreciate throughout the year.
Booking is simple. Sessions can be reserved online through the booking site or by phone at 561-276-8648, and walk-ins are welcome, though reserving ahead is encouraged. Whether for a single focused afternoon or a regular workspace, Work Space on 5th offers a productive home base while supporting the CRA’s broader mission to strengthen the local economy and community.
