Arts Warehouse is back open after a renovation that touched nearly every part of the building. The work included repairing, buffing, and sealing the cement floors throughout the space, along with a new roof, new AC units, refreshed exterior stucco and paint, and new countertops and cabinetry. The public reopening took place the evening of June 5, with regular hours resuming the next day.
What’s on View Now
The front and east galleries are showing Beautifully Broken, a group exhibition curated by Katya Neptune through her organization ArtHeart, on view through July 25. Opened in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, the show explores themes including grief, ageism, anxiety, addiction and recovery, and dissociative identity disorder through intimate, thought-provoking work.
In the Back Room Gallery, When only the void stood between us just opened, an exhibition of large-scale watercolor paintings and installations by South Florida artist Keren Kroul, on view through August 22. Kroul’s work unfolds in a landscape of memory where time and place collapse into magnificent terrains.
The community is invited to celebrate both exhibitions, and the reopened space, this Friday, July 3, during First Friday Art Walk from 6 to 9 p.m. It’s a free, family-friendly way to see the new shows, meet resident artists in their studios, and get a first look at the refreshed warehouse.
Program Director Grace Gdaniec said the closure gave the team room to plan ahead. “It has been a great time for long-term planning, especially for exhibitions,” she said, noting the team also finalized its workshop schedule through the end of the year and reconnected with resident artists throughout the closure. Some artists have moved into new studio spaces within the building as part of the reopening, so returning visitors may notice familiar names in new corners of the warehouse.
“I believe Arts Warehouse has built such amazing momentum and a community of fans and participants, and we’re looking forward to getting back in the environment,” Gdaniec said. “It’s a special place and works best when activated.”

Arts Warehouse is located at 313 NE 3rd Street. Hours are Wednesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with First Friday Art Walk hours of 6 to 9 p.m. each month. The gallery is closed Sundays and most major holidays. Admission is free.
