Chillin’ at the Chili Cook-Off
How do you like your chili? Jalapeño hot? Beans or no beans? Steak, chicken, or meatless? What the heck—try ‘em all at the 14th annual Chili Cook-Off this Saturday, February 19, at Delray’s GreenMarket. The tasting is free—and just like on American Idol, your vote counts.
Stir the Pot
Chili tasting begins at 10 a.m. when competing local chefs (both veteran and novice) stir the pot and ladle out samples of their homemade creations. Judges will circulate through the market testing the recipes, then vote along with market-goers on their favorite dishes. Entries will include Traditional Chili, Vegetarian Chili, and New Age Chili—quite a romp for the taste buds on a Saturday morning!
Chili Bragging Rights
Trophies will be awarded to winners in a variety of categories, including the ever-popular People’s Choice and Chef’s Choice awards. Can you say bragging rights?
