Chef Aurora Garcia
Our featured chef this week for the GreenMarket Chef Showcase is Aurora Garcia. Aurora first learned to cook watching her grandmother, Amparo Martinez Martinez, make tortillas, mole, and chocolate in Tehuitzingo, a small town in southern Mexico. In 2003, Aurora earned a diploma in Culinary Arts from City & Guilds Centre in Puebla, Mexico, her native city. She studied Italian cooking in Tuscany in 2015. Aurora is passionate about authentic Mexican food and enjoys sharing her love of cooking. We had the pleasure of sitting down with Aurora this week to talk about her love of cooking.

In your opinion, what is the best meal ever?
A very humble chicken soup, in the mountains of Oaxaca.
Who is your culinary role model?
My grandmother, and the Mexican chef Yuri de Gortari.
If you could have dinner with anyone, who would it be?
My family in Mexico.
